JOB SUMMARY:
The National FFA Organization is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our social media team as a National FFA Social Media Intern. This internship spans from June 1 through November 30 and provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to creating engaging content for our national social media pages, reaching our large online audience, and enhancing our digital presence. The internship is part-time, with in-office hours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the National FFA social media manager and the marketing team to develop and produce engaging content for various social media platforms, including graphic designs, short-form videos, captivating captions, and photo editing.
  • Assist in scheduling posts to ensure a consistent and impactful online presence.
  • Monitor social media platforms, engage with followers, and respond to inquiries to enhance user experience and community engagement.
  • Support the coverage and promotion of one of the largest conventions in Indiana, the 97th National FFA Convention & Expo, taking place in October, by creating content, covering live events, and sharing behind-the-scenes moments on social media platforms.
  • Assist with photo/video shoots to help create content.
  • Stay updated on social media trends and best practices to optimize content performance and reach.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in creating and editing short-form videos, with proficiency in tools like Canva, CapCut, and Adobe software.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to craft engaging captions and compelling content.
  • Basic understanding of social media platforms, their functionalities, and algorithms.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and creating visually appealing content.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines effectively.
