The main responsibility for this position is to serve as a liaison between Research and Sales. This position is also responsible for ensuring the quality of data, note taking, and product training opportunities performed by the product team.

Responsibilities 

  • Assist Regional Product Specialist (RPS) or product leads in special projects as needed
  • Assist Data Specialist and other product team members in data entry and running reports.
  • Collect, organize and enter data from replicated, Choice plots and originator trials.
  • Characterize experimental corn, soybean and wheat products and their potential utility in the Beck lineup.
  • Summarize and communicate product information to Beck customers, sales staff and dealers.
  • Prepare presentations for customers, sales staff, dealers and other company personnel.
  • Present product information at launch meetings, training meetings, summer camp, field shows and various other events.
  • Assist in the lab packaging seed during peak times.
  • Assist in planting and harvesting of plots as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as may be required by the Product Lead and product team.

Job Requirements

1          Education and training:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in an agricultural related field.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record as determined by Beck’s automobile insurance policy.

2.         Technical knowledge:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess strong agronomic skills.
  • Possess positive attitude.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, work as a team member, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
  • Basic computer and current software skills.

3.         Experience:

  • Agricultural experience
  • 2-3 years of related work experience

4.         Travel

  • Some overnight travel is required visiting various plots and trials as well as genetic supplier meetings and field show events.
