About the Role
The Vice President, Commercial Americas, provides senior leadership for commercial activities within the America’s. Responsibilities include overseeing commercial strategy, operations, business development, and revenue generation. The position requires balancing strategic planning with operational management, achieving licensing revenue, and building long-term value through partnerships and market initiatives.
The VP will manage the commercial P&L for the America’s and serve as a liaison between the regions and Inari’s global leadership to align regional actions with corporate objectives. The position calls for experience in agriculture or biotechnology, business acumen, and interest in sustainable practices.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Commercial Growth
· Develop and implement commercial strategies for the America’s in line with global and corporate objectives.
· Identify opportunities for growth, partnerships, and go-to-market approaches to expand commercial reach.
· Support development and delivery of offerings based on scientific advancement and aligned with company strategy.
Business Development & Partner Management
· Deliver results by leading negotiation and execution of commercial deals, including licensing and collaborative agreements.
· Establish and maintain relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
· Oversee progress on collaborations, royalty collection, and partner performance.
Regional Operations & Leadership
· Manage all commercial activities in the America’s within a matrixed organizational structure.
· Supervise regional business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance assessment.
· Develop and grow commercial team in the region.
Customer Engagement & Market Insight
· Gather and communicate market and customer information to inform product development and marketing.
· Ensure responsiveness to customer requirements and changing opportunities.
· Support marketing and positioning alongside global communications and product teams.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Science, or Business (Master’s preferred).
· 10+ years in commercial leadership roles in seeds, traits, or ag-biotech, including deal-making and key account management.
· Proven success leading in matrixed, high-growth environments.
· P&L management experience; strong background in partnerships and licensing.
· Knowledge of gene editing, seed licensing, regulatory issues, and ag innovation value chains.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
· Strategic thinker with a track record of execution.
· Strong customer orientation with a science-to-solution mindset.
· Resilient and adaptable in fast-changing markets.
· Established industry network in North or South America ag/seed sectors preferred.
