Indiana Farmers Insurance is currently looking for a Commercial Lines Underwriting Manager to join our Team.
The Underwriting Manager directs and manages assigned underwriters who are responsible for reviewing, evaluating and analyzing risk, for processing and issuing of policies. This position is responsible for training and auditing staff on underwriting principles, procedures, guidelines and best practices. The Underwriting Manager leads their team in ensuring sound risk assessment, adhering to company guidelines and achieving the strategic and operational goals of the company.

Qualifications and Responsibilities of the Commercial Lines Underwriting Manager include:
- Ten years of related underwriting experience; five years concurrent managerial experience, preferably in commercial lines
- Strong technical, analytical and cognitive skills for interpreting and understanding underwriting guidelines
- Ability to lead others to achieve common goals
- College degree with a major in business, management or related area, preferred
- Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
