TerraForce —a Pantheon-affiliated startup—applies AI and robotics to automate manual farming tasks. The Pantheon and TerraForce are located in Knox County, Indiana, the #2 county nationwide for melon production.

Position Information

Position Title: Robotics & AI Development Intern

Position Summary: We seek a motivated and dynamic intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for researching and testing automated melon and cucurbit production. This intern will collaborate with teammates to develop and refine field-ready software and robotics solutions. Key responsibilities include development, testing, and optimization. This experience will provide hands-on opportunities to explore, design, and develop a solution that will enhance the operations of melon and cucurbit producers.

Duration: May 19 – August 15, 2025

Location: Pantheon Business and Innovation Theatre, Vincennes, Indiana

Compensation: $18/hour and housing

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, 1 hour lunch

Direct Supervisor: Mike Jacob, TerraForce

Support: Drew Garretson, Nichole Like, and Brian Southern

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in ABE, CS, or related degree programs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Familiarity with Python
  • Agriculture background preferred
