Overview
We are seeking a driven and energetic intern to join our team. The ideal candidate
will assist with all aspects of production throughout the internship, including seeding, growing, harvesting, and distribution. Additionally, the intern will engage in research and development to enhance equipment and crop efficiency. Responsibilities may also include researching equipment vendors, collecting and analyzing data, and supporting company events. Depending on the intern’s academic background and interests, there may be additional related tasks and opportunities. This role offers hands-on experience in a vertical farming start-up and provides opportunities to develop technical skills and industry knowledge.

Leveraging cutting-edge controlled environment agriculture (CEA) technology, Vertiponix Farms cultivates a diverse range of crops tailored to meet specific customer needs. This advanced system enables the company to sustainably produce fresh, vibrant, and flavorful produce year-round.
Position Information
Position Title: Operations and Innovation Intern
Position Summary: We are seeking a driven and energetic intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with all aspects of production throughout the internship, including seeding, growing, harvesting, and distribution. Duration: May 19 – August 15, 2025
Location: Pantheon Innovation Theatre, Vincennes, Indiana
Compensation: $18/hour and housing
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, 1 hour lunch

Requirements
- Current enrollment in HORT, BIOL, ABE, or related degree programs
- Strong analytical, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Experience with hydroponics or related systems, preferred, but not required
