This role is not a remote opportunity, it is on-site at our Corporate Office in Carmel, Indiana. 

 

SCOPE:

The Tax Manager will automate collection of data for USA federal tax return compliance. Will input data into ONESOURCE tax software managed by Big Four accounting firm. Will analyze and report on USA and Controlled Foreign Corporate tax returns. Will provide support for income tax filings and general ledger analysis.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare underlying data and review U.S. federal and state tax returns which are prepared by a third party provider. Originate and coordinate tax schedules required for returns, such as 5471’s, taxable income, tax timing reconciliations
  • Perform research for and coordinate with the corporate finance team for domestic tax reporting compliance
  • Research and prepare tax answers to questions from third party providers, auditors, and tax jurisdictions
  • Create and maintain control schedules for worldwide tax provisions and compliance reporting.   Collect tax timing schedules and review country tax provisions
  • State non-resident withholding filings and state franchise tax filings in a sub-chapters environment
  • Preparation of state income tax quarterly estimates and extensions calculations
  • Develop process to input data into ONE SOURCE (Thomson Reuters) tax software maintained by third party provider.
  • The individual will deliver value through continuous process improvement in the tax compliance and reporting area
  • Utilization of technology to create workpapers and import/export data
  • Other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business (Accounting, Finance, or Data related field), CPA a plus, but not required
  • 4-6 years in a public tax firm with strong technical writing skills and advanced data analytics knowledge
  • Experience keying tax data into ONESOURCE (Thomson Reuters)
  • Experience running reports in ONESOURCE
  • Proficient with MS Office; advanced excel skills
  • Experience querying databases for reporting and analysis purposes
  • Experience building financial models for analysis of business opportunities
  • Tax experience required

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and interact with computers, telephone and other electronic media
  • Must possess visual acuity to document company records
  • Must be able to work extended hours, occasional overtime as needed
