The education and engagement team at Indiana Farm Bureau focuses on educating students and the public about agriculture, finding engagement opportunities through Farm Bureau and offers unique opportunities in networking, leadership development, and hands-on experience to create an environment for personal and professional growth.

This internship will work with youth programs (4-H/FFA/Collegiate Farm Bureau) to develop and enhance programming with these groups and activities that enhance INFB’s industry relations. This internship will also help plan, coordinate and execute INFB’s exhibitor experience and consumer understanding of agriculture during the Indiana State Fair. In addition, the intern will help coordinate and implement INFB’s Young Farmers & Ag Professionals summer awards and competitions as well as assist with leadership development workshops and programming. This intern will be involved with all aspects of the education and engagement team including, membership, member engagement and educational programming.

Strong communication and organizational skills are required. Applicants pursuing an agricultural education or agricultural communications degree are preferred. Understanding and experience in preparing educational lessons and activities to middle and high school students is preferred. Applicants should be self-motivated, creative, detail-oriented, have an awareness of Indiana academic standards, and be able to establish clearly defined goals and objectives for projects. An agricultural background is preferred but not required.
