We are looking for…
A sharp and hardworking individual interested in a full-time position located in West Lafayette, IN to serve as WHIN’s Senior IoT Solutions Engineer. You will be responsible for vetting, piloting and implementing various IoT technologies in the 10-county Wabash Heartland region. The IoT technologies you will be vetting and deploying are new or near-commercial products mainly applied in agriculture and manufacturing. You will also support the implementation of innovative IoT technologies developed at Purdue University in real-world settings to help accelerate commercialization.
You should be able to…
• Effectively communicate with farmers, manufacturers, university researchers and students
• Install and deploy digital technologies (e.g., sensors, IoT solutions, embedded systems, etc)
• Maintain a deep understanding and thought leadership on various IoT technologies to relay their value to individual farmers/companies in their unique business context
• Thrive in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial organization, and effectively manage deadlines across a handful of concurrent projects
• Interact with other key areas such as business development, marketing, and engagement
You should have…
• Experience in deploying and maintaining IoT devices and/or connectivity infrastructure
• Working knowledge in embedded software/hardware, sensor technology (e.g., thermistors, moisture, digital/analog interfaces) and wireless communication
• Proven ability to support new technologies and assist customers in adopting new technologies
• Strong problem solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
