IMPA – Senior Electrical Distribution Engineer
The Indiana Municipal Power Agency is a not-for-profit, wholesale electric generation and transmission company located in Carmel, Indiana. At IMPA, we support 61 communities in Indiana and Ohio through providing low-cost, reliable, and environmentally responsible electricity, as well as a variety of other services to help in the overall success of each town or city. The Engineering division of IMPA Service Corp, a not-for-profit formed by IMPA, assists IMPA members ensure quality electric service to their customers. IMPA Service Corp performs engineering and related services to IMPA communities throughout the state of Indiana.
Our team is seeking a detail-oriented individual to provide project engineering services to clients of IMPA Service Corporation. This full-time position will work with our engineering team and will be based in our Carmel office.
What You’ll Bring to the Table:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering and 5-7 years of related technical experience.
- A Professional Engineer registration in Indiana, or the ability to obtain registration within the first 2 years of employment.
- Strong organizational, business software, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with AutoCAD
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Developing system models and performing distribution system planning studies for our members.
- Providing design, engineering and project management services for distribution lines, transmission lines and substations.
- Providing distribution relay engineering and protective device coordination.
- Assisting members with revenue metering and automated meter reading.
