Indiana Farm Bureau advocates for farmers. Through policies and programs, the Indiana Farm Bureau promotes agriculture and improves the economic and social welfare of member families. The summer public policy intern will work with Indiana Farm Bureau’s public policy team on local, state, and federal advocacy events, policy development, and preparation for the organization’s involvement in the 2026 election cycle including support for fundraising events.

The internship is a full-time opportunity, working five days per week up to 37.5 hours, with the possibility of occasional after-hours events. The intern will work at the INFB corporate offices in downtown Indianapolis, starting in mid-May and continuing for approximately 12 weeks. Work will center on activities that enhance Farm Bureau member engagement in public policy and understanding how the policy will impact Indiana agriculture.

 

Qualifications and requirements:

Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills are imperative for this position. Additionally, the applicant should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and exhibit a strong interest in public policy issues. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.

An agricultural background is preferred but not required. Any college student in their sophomore through senior year is encouraged to apply.
