Areas of Opportunity:
- Integrated Biology encompasses lab and greenhouse testing of pipeline crop protection products necessary for characterizing and prioritizing future products. This involves collaboration with field scientists for characterization.
- Discovery and Bioprocess drives the de novo discovery of live microbial and small molecule chemistry, with a strong focus on novel modes-of-action, and supports bioprocess optimization activities.
- Process Development powers the launch of Corteva small molecules and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes with an emphasis on high throughput experimentation and modular continuous flow technology.
- Product Science and Technology designs, develops, launches, and grows crop health product solutions for farmers worldwide.
- Regulatory Sciences perform studies to support the global registration of our Crop Protection and Seed products in both non-regulated and regulated (by Good Laboratory Practices “GLP”) laboratories. These complex study designs continually evolve to meet the ever-changing regulatory landscape across the world.
Responsibilities:
- Research Participation: Engage in all phases of research, including planning, preparation, calibration, application, evaluation, and analysis.
- Safety First: Operate in a safe and efficient manner, embodying Corteva’s safety culture.
- Innovative Thinking: Make novel observations, interpret data, and draw sound scientific conclusions.
- Presentations: Share your progress through project reviews and a final poster presentation.
Qualifications
Qualifications – What You’ll Bring:
- Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in a below listed, or closely related, discipline with enrollment in classes for fall 2025. Must have completed at least two years of undergraduate coursework before the internship begins in biology, microbiology, plant biology, weed science, plant pathology, entomology, molecular biology, computational biology, biochemistry, agronomy, agricultural engineering, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, computational chemistry, molecular biology, synthetic biology, computer science, data science, statistics, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, automation engineering, mechanical engineering, inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, polymer chemistry, materials chemistry, materials engineering, packaging technology metabolism chemistry, environmental sciences or related backgrounds. Preference will be given to students with at least a 3.0 GPA.
- Skills: Ability to work independently and in a team environment, excellent problem solving, prioritization and management of multiple experiments, ability to keep thorough experimental/procedural records, and proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- Relocation: Ability to relocate to Indianapolis, IN for the duration of the internship.
- Availability: Able to work full-time (40 hours per week) for 10-12 weeks between May and August.
