Position Summary:

The Imaging Biologist is responsible for supporting animal studies including but not limited to imaging, data collection, software use.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Performing confocal microscopy and basic image software use
  • Imaging during surgical procedures (mice/rats)
  • Independent data analysis
  • Reporting of data in written and oral formats.
  • Perform all work in full compliance with company policies
  • Complete all required training activities in the timeframe specified.
  • Offer problem resolution, as applicable, for any client issues or questions with the aim of enhancing client satisfaction and improving client relations.
  • Accurately record test data.
  • Report on safety, instrument and technical issues.
  • Follow the guidelines set forth with clients and in the Company Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Comply with clients and Company management systems in accordance with appropriate regulatory agencies.
  • Follows the guidelines set forth in by clients and the Company Quality Manual and Safety / Chemical Hygiene Plan.
  • Adhere to the requirements of the Quality System.
  • Other duties as defined by Manager, department needs and workload.

 

What You’ll Need:

  • Willingness to work around small laboratory animals/tissue
  • Written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively in a group setting, with colleagues and clients
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet or exceed deadlines
  • Individual and Team work ethic
  • Proficiency with Windows, Word & Excel
  • Attention to detail
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated, high level of engagement

 

Education and Experience:

  • Degree requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Biology or closely related field
  • Minimum of one (1) year of related lab experience and/or technical skills
  • Experience with confocal microscopy
