Are you a seasoned fundraiser with a passion for community impact? Cultivate Food Rescue, a leading food rescue organization based in South Bend, Indiana, is seeking a strategic leader for our fundraising team.

About Us:

At Cultivate Food Rescue, we have become a leader in the food rescue and have developed a unique food rescue model that challenges the status quo by jointly feeding vulnerable populations and eliminating food waste. Our average year-over-year growth has been 225% and we have increased the amount of food available to our vulnerable populations by 4 million pounds. Our focus is on recovering healthy perishable food right here in our community. We’re looking for a proactive strategic leader to help us fund our next stage of growth to 20 million pounds per year.

Key Responsibilities:

Active Leadership Role: This is a key leadership position within the organization, responsible for our strategic fundraising plan and management of our fundraising, volunteer and marketing and event planning team. This role will be responsible for leading, directing and managing the fundraising team across St. Joe, Elkhart and Marshall County and any future expansion of our service area.

Fundraising Leadership: Seek, cultivate and maintain an active portfolio of major donors ($10,000+) to reach fundraising goals and fulfill our strategic goal of donor acquisition. Collaborate and engage the Board and Fundraising committee to meet Cultivate’s fundraising goals.

Strategic Fundraising Planning:Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan that includes major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, planned giving, volunteer giving and special events. This involves identifying and cultivating major prospects, as well as corporate and community donors.

Monitor and analyze fundraising data in our CRM to evaluate performance and to direct the fundraising activities. This involves tracking donor engagement, analyzing revenue streams, and making data-driven decisions that help achieve fundraising goals.

Retention Strategies: Implement clear, measurable plans for donor and volunteer retention, ensuring ongoing community involvement.

Volunteer Recruitment & Engagement: Oversight of our volunteer, marketing and special events teams and their integration into our strategic fundraising plan.

Qualifications:

· Passion for food rescue and community engagement.

· Minimum of 5 years of nonprofit fundraising experience; 10 years preferred.

· Proven track record developing and implementing a successful fundraising plan and initiatives.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.

· Strong analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of fundraising.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range: $90,000 – $105,000. Benefits include health, dental, vision, HSA with a company match up to $1,000 and a 401k plan with a 50% match up to 6%
