Overview

Job Summary:

As an AI Specialist, you are responsible for providing thought leadership in artificial intelligence and process automation, along with education and advocacy duties. You communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and drive the adoption of AI technologies within the organization. This involves guiding AI product development, staying updated on AI trends, and optimizing decision-making and operational performance. You provide expertise to the team around current and emerging AI technology and techniques as well as process automation tools.

 

Must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future, without company sponsorship.

 

Must be about to work onsite in the corporate office in Indianapolis, Indiana. (This role is not hybrid or remote).

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help guide the vision and strategy for AI product development and process automation. Provide insights and recommendations based on industry trends and best practices.
  • Conduct workshops, training sessions, and presentations to educate employees, stakeholders, and clients on AI technology, its applications, and potential impacts. Create educational materials and resources to support ongoing learning.
  • Advocate for the adoption and implementation of AI technologies within the organization and the broader community, providing thought leadership and guidance.
  • Stay current with the latest developments in the AI field, including emerging technologies, research, and applications. Share relevant updates and insights with the team to inform decision-making and strategy.
  • Leverage AI technologies to automate routine business processes, including data processing, reporting, and decision-making workflows, using tools such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA), AI-driven automation frameworks or custom-built solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., data analysts, engineers, IT and business leaders) to implement AI and automation solutions that align with business goals.
  • Work closely with product managers and developers to ensure AI technologies are effectively integrated into products. Offer guidance on technical aspects and ensure alignment with the overall vision.

 

Required Skills:

  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex AI concepts for diverse audiences. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and experience with AI frameworks.
  • In-depth understanding of current AI trends, challenges, and opportunities. Familiarity with ethical considerations and regulatory issues related to AI.  Should include proficiency with Generative AI tools, such as Microsoft CoPilot, GPT (ChatGPT), Gemini, LLaMA, and others.
  • Innovative thinker with a passion for AI and its potential to transform industries. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead initiatives.
  • Experience with process automation tools (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism) and/or AI-driven automation frameworks.

 

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in applying machine learning models and automation technologies to solve real-world business problems, with a portfolio of successful projects. Preferred experience with machine learning algorithms, neural networks, and other AI techniques.
