Corteva Agriscience is seeking to hire a Regulatory and Stewardship (RAS) Planning Professional at our facility in Indianapolis, IN or Johnston, IA. This role can accommodate a flexible work arrangement where you may work multiple days a week from home.

The Regulatory and Stewardship (RAS) Planning Professional is responsible for supporting the annual planning and execution processes and associated tools and activities as well as serving as product owner for the planning and execution tool.

  • Builds and fosters strong partnerships with customers and key stakeholders
  • Planning and Execution tool Subject Matter Expert:
    • Product owner for the planning and execution tool.
    • Provides Tier One support for the current RAS Planning tools (Plan of Work for CP and MS Project for Seeds), including access requests, weekly backups (MSP only) and basic troubleshooting.
    • Works to resolve problems with data entered into MS Project and Plan of Work, in partnership with GRPMs and other key stakeholders.
    • Provides user training on PoW and MS Project and supporting tools such as PowerBI Study Search App.
    • Creates necessary documentation of the systems for users.
    • Conducts testing of both MS Project and PoW, in coordination with FS&D as required, and participates in system requirements gathering, and logging issues with FS&D when necessary.
    • Within scope of expertise, contributes to project development and launch of future planning and execution tools for RAS.
  • Planning Support:
    • Assist the Seeds Business Platform and Seeds Regulatory Science (SRS) functional work groups in task plan scoping and developing and maintaining project plans for the Regulatory portfolio, including project templates.
    • Works with project plans and related data to analyze, report, and provide initial analyses for the customers, identifying project challenges, if applicable.
    • During planning, assist CP and Seeds with plan builds as needed.
    • Monitor plan quality; identify and communicate areas of concern to appropriate stakeholders and leadership.
    • Monitors functional mailboxes and addresses requests/issues and questions as appropriate, including assigning study IDs and tracking numbers and building new study tasks into existing plans.
  • Processes and Reporting:
    • Working with the RAS Planning Lead, provides input on the development and updates of best practices for planning and execution as needed and ensures consistent application of those best practices.
    • Identifies further opportunities for process efficiencies as appropriate.
    • Partners with System and Information Solutions team to develop tools and reports that enable functional groups to manage workload, track activity progress, identify risks/issues, and monitor budgets in a proactive manner.
    • Provide reports to management as requested to display resource, expenses, metrics, activity information or other data as needed.
    • Participates in or lead special projects as requested.



Degree and Skill Requirements:
What expertise have you grown? What do you bring to the table?

  • BS degree in chemistry, biology, engineering, or related scientific field or Business/ IT field or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Previous scientific and/or regulatory experience (minimum 3-5 years) is desired.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, including both written and oral, is a must.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills are required.
  • Proficiency using MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint is necessary along with the aptitude to utilize other internal IT systems as needed.
  • Corteva Program management and understanding of the R&D planning process is a significant plus.
  • Past experience serving on program/ project teams is helpful.
  • Capability to effectively train team members.
  • Ability to deliver clear, targeted, and proactive communications to the RAS community.
