Position Summary:

The Talent Acquisition Strategic Sourcing Leader – US Commercial will collaborate closely with US Commercial leaders, HR business partners, and recruiters to build and deliver candidate pipelines aligned with business needs. This role will be accountable for the US Commercial recruiting strategy and ensuring Elanco can access and recruit diverse and extraordinary talent. As part of the Global Talent Acquisition leadership team, this role will influence global corporate talent acquisition approaches and processes.



  • Intimately understand current and future talent needs for the US Commercial organizations and translate functional level priorities to the recruiting teams
  • Develop and oversee the US Commercial recruitment marketing and branding strategy in partnership with Talent Acquisition Marketing, ensuring applicable technologies, systems and vendors are being fully utilized to drive hiring programs
  • Proactively research, assess, and define innovative sourcing methodologies to meet business recruitment goals
  • Deliver directly sourced talent for highly specialized roles across US Commercial, building a talent pipeline
  • Develop pipelines of diverse and quality talent in harmony with business needs via our CRM and Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Stay abreast of labor market conditions, including talent supply and skills demand
  • Build external benchmarking capability to understand competitive intelligence landscape and influence best practices with team and stakeholders
  • Develop metrics to evaluate the productivity of sourcing strategies, monitor service delivery and technology effectiveness
  • Establish and execute strategies to amplify the Elanco Employer Brand
  • Remain actively plugged into external talent marketplace and communicate with critical talent profiles
  • Collaborate with Campus Recruiting to define a diverse, early career talent pipeline strategy for US Commercial organizations
  • Preparation and delivery of presentation on US Commercial talent sourcing performance and activity for key stakeholders (HR Strategic Business Partners, Executive Leaders within the business unit, Head of Talent Management)
  • Develop and foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, agility, and external focus across the Recruiters and Global Talent Acquisition lead team
  • Serve as an Executive Recruiter for senior level or high-profile US Commercial roles


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience in lieu of degree
  • 5+ years work experience with specific experience in Talent Acquisition, Recruiting, or Strategic Sourcing
  • Non-HR related work experience acceptable if accompanied with strong learning agility and one of the below experiences:
    • 5+ years experience in Sales or Marketing
    • 5+ years experience in Digital Marketing


Additional Skills & Preferences:

  • Recruitment and talent sourcing experience with a strong understanding of talent sourcing techniques and knowledge of technology
  • Successful track record creating innovative, progressive approaches to talent acquisition and candidate sourcing methodologies, creating employment branding and value proposition strategies
  • Prior experience in the staffing industry or Corporate HR, RPO, preferably with a global organization
  • Experience with CRM and ATS systems preferred
  • Data analytics experience and employee market insights
  • Ability to interpret data from a variety of internal and external sources and predict trends
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically
  • Ability to manage and lead complexity and balance stakeholders
  • Comfortable driving and influencing change, and changing priorities as needed
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Good influencing and negotiation skills
  • Animal Health industry experience preferred
