About the job

This is an unpaid opportunity (potential for college credit) and a rare experience to work with senior-level executives within climate and agriculture while attending The Indiana Climate Summit, on August 23 at Purdue Beck Agricultural Center 9 am-4 pm in West Lafayette, Indiana. MUST BE LIVING IN INDIANA.

Information:

Starting the week of July 25th or later

5-7 hours per week

30-day internship (depending on your availability)

Looking to hire up to 4 interns

Fully remote except for August 23, you must be available to attend The Indiana Climate Summit in West Lafayette. We understand most college classes start back up this week, so we are looking for students with flexible schedules near Purdue Beck Agricultural Center.

Responsibilities:

  • Main duty is to research prospective companies’ names, LinkedIn, and emails.
  • Copywriting approved messages to share with prospects and networks.
  • Outreach to prospective attendees, outreach to stakeholders.
  • Day of event support on August 23 at Purdue Beck Agricultural Center.
  • Potential to assist with marketing copy and social media posts.
  • Potential to assist with light graphics with Canva or Adobe Illustrator (not required).

We are looking for..

  • Excellent communicators!
  • College-aged students, but will consider strong communicators in their Junior-Senior year of high school.
  • Preference for marketing, communications, agriculture, environmental, or related majors.
  • Any and all experience levels are welcome to apply!
  • Looking to hire up to 4 interns to help out with the lead-up to this event, and at the event.
  • IN-CLIMATE is a small team, so we really need help coordinating the event day of. We would also consider applicants who want to be involved but aren’t available for the days prior to the event and just want to help out at the event!
  • Ideally, we are looking to hire 4 students with 4 different interests/backgrounds,1 in ag, 1 in food, 1 in energy, and 1 in environment/sustainability.
  • Top applicants will demonstrate strong writing and interpersonal skills, research abilities, social media experience, and a positive attitude!
