The Senior Specialist – Quality Assurance is responsible for providing support to QA process team members and to aid in the facilitation of quality systems within manufacturing operations. This includes document oversight, performing batch reviews and SAP transactions, scheduling work to ensure material availability and other support tasks. The Senior Specialist Quality Assurance works as a team member within the operations teams to achieve site goals while maintaining a strong quality mindset.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A minimum of three years of experience working in a regulated industry
  • Must be task flexible, capable of multitasking and willing to accept new assignments, projects and challenges
  • Completion of Post Offer Exam, Completion of Work Simulation or Completion of Administrative Skills Testing if applicable.
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Elanco does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position

 

Functions, Duties, Tasks:

  • Responsible for organizing and execution of Quality systems within the process teams.
  • Aid In:
    • document management and operate as an ad hoc document controller
    • scheduling and organizing batch record review and material release within the Quality Assurance responsibilities
    • scheduling and executing self-inspection and process confirmations within manufacturing operations.
    • communicating with Quality Control Teams.
  • Perform document management functions, as needed, including packet assembly, review flow and final packet archive.
  • Aid in batch record review and SAP transactions, as needed, following Winslow and Elanco guidelines and training.
  • Interact with Planners, QA Process Team associates and Operations managers to confirm/schedule availability of materials.
  • Developing/tracking testing timelines
  • Prioritization/scheduling for Quality Control according to process/supply needs
  • Assisting in generating 2008s for submission
  • Assists with the trending and analysis of testing data, change controls, deviation investigations
  • Participate in process improvement projects
  • Support technical staff in the development and performance of procedures and training.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Additional Preferences:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in a USDA regulated quality control or assurance role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency with business applications such as: Word, MS Office, Excel, and SAP
  • Flexibility in adapting methods and skills
  • Motivation to work independently, as well as in a cooperative manner, with supervisor.

 

Additional Information:

  • Some weekend work may be required.
