Operations and program manager leader, responsible for optimizing core department procedures, creating efficiencies in legal support processes, and identifying opportunities for automation.  This role reports to the Director – Legal Operations.

  • Develop and manage a technology roadmap and prioritization of projects related to knowledge management, document management, collaboration
  • Lead the identification and evaluation and implementation of areas of process efficiency improvement and/or financial management across global legal team
  • Manage legal projects that involve coordination across cross-functional teams and/or across the global legal team
  • Assist department professionals to prepare, communicate and educate client groups and team on changes in policies and practices within the organization
  • Handle the reporting on progress against strategic goals
  • Assist General Counsel with department communications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ operations experience, preferably in a legal department
  • Familiarity with best practice of legal operations and the latest developments in legal technology and innovative solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across a multi-functional, global tea
  • Self-starter and proactive “doer” with a strong bias for action
  • Demonstrated project/process management experience and implementation of technology solutions
  • Strong collaboration skills, with an ability to build relationships both within a team and across external departments
  • Excellent business and independent problem solving
  • Attention to detail with excellent time management and multitasking/prioritization abilities
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and responsibilities
  • Ability to align resources to a common objective
  • Ability to bring pragmatic resolution to adverse situation
  • Creative influencer with ability to move from current state to future state effortlessly
  • This role may be worked from the U.S. or another Country where Elanco has presence.
