Senior Lead – Ethics & Compliance, and Privacy

This position supports the Ethics & Compliance and Privacy functions worldwide and reports to the Senior Director – Legal Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Ethics and Compliance (E&C):
    • Assist with the ethics and compliance training program including course roll-out, learning assignments and tracking and related follow-up.
    • Monitor the ethics & compliance shared mailbox and respond or triage to others, as appropriate.
    • Manage the third-party anti-corruption due diligence process including serving as primary contact with our service provider, overseeing resolution of red flags, exercising judgment in the need for escalated reviews and ensuring timely re-certifications. This role ensures our risk ratings are appropriate and maintains close ties with other stakeholders such as Trade Compliance and Supply Chain. Stays abreast of best practices and serves as a resource on third-party anti-corruption due diligence questions.
    • Support the organization by overseeing the intake, organization, and access of all Ethics & Compliance policies and Teams sites that serve as document repositories for critical processes.
    • Manage the conflict of interest disclosure process including monitoring for new disclosures and ensuring appropriate and timely review and response.

    • Assist with updates to Ethics & Compliance policies, training and communications, as requested.
    • Assist in preparation of legal documents specific to the compliance initiatives, general correspondence and special reports as needed. This includes producing information and reports by summarizing, formatting, editing, retrieving, copying and/or transmitting text, data, and graphics; drafting letters and documents; analyzing and collecting information; preparing draft policies and procedures as needed; and coordinating requests for signatures of company officers, and other documents, as needed.
    • Assisting with a variety of other Ethics & Compliance related requests to support the team and legal department as may arise from time to time.
  • Privacy
    • Manage the Data Subject Access Request process, including identifying right function in the Company to address the request by the Data Subject
    • Support the Privacy Review Process, as requested, including interacting with the different business units to clarify and gather the information needed to complete the Privacy Review Request and the Record of Processing Activities.
    • Upload contracts into the Record of Processing Activities system as requested.
    • Ensure the completion of the cookie monitoring activities, interacting with the vendor and the relevant function in the Company.
    • Assist with the Privacy training program, including course roll-out, learning assignments and tracking and related follow-up.
    • Monitor the privacy-shared mailbox and respond or triage to others, as appropriate.
    • Support Privacy investigations as needed.
    • Assist with the updating of Privacy policy, training and communications.
    • Assisting with a variety of other Privacy law-related requests to support the team and legal department as may arise from time to time.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Exceptional organizational skills; detail-oriented and proactive.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize projects, working well under pressure to meet specific deadlines.
  • Impeccable integrity and accountability.
  • Service oriented.
  • Work well under pressure to meet specific deadlines.
  • Technically savvy, proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn new software systems quickly.
  • High level of professionalism, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost care and to interact comfortably with board members, executives, and senior management.
  • Possesses clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Skills & Preferences:

  • Paralegal certificate a plus.
  • Experience at both a public company and law firm handling Ethics & Compliance and Privacy matters.
  • Experience with Privacy and Ethics &Compliance platforms and processes.
