Overview:
This position is responsible for operational excellence, sales professionalism and the profitability of all Regions. The role includes customer relationship development, personnel growth, facility and equipment optimization, financial management and short- and long-term planning for the Region. Will also provide support and direction in the areas of compliance, regulations, corporate policies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:

- Supports Keystone Cooperative’s stated Vision, Mission, and Business Values.
- Lead Agronomy Regional Directors
- Projects a positive attitude to customers, vendors and employees at all times.
- Work with Regional Directors to meet Region Sales and Profitability goals
- Develop and monitor account plans with each salesperson and manager. Establish short- and long-term objectives along with Sales Leads.
- Develop location managers and sales personnel capabilities including assisting in hiring, coaching, training, performance management, and business acumen
- Manage Region finances including sales and expense budgeting and management, accounts receivables, payables, and managing prepays
- Develop short- and long-term plans for the Region and support location managers in location planning
- Manage Region inventory by supporting location managers in forecasting product needs and anticipating inventory needs
- Optimize Region assets including facility and equipment replacement and cross location utilization plans by working with Location Managers
- Manage Region risk including compliance with regulations, safety and emergency response training and ongoing site inspections.
- As part of the senior leadership team in the Agronomy Division, assist in the development and formulation of long and short-range planning, policies, programs and objectives of Keystone Cooperative. Responsible for creating Regional Business Plan.
- Initiate, coordinate and oversee special projects that are essential to the Agronomy Division.
- Ensure the proper engagement of regional resources with all managers and sellers within the region (Sales Leads, Ag Technology, Procurement team, Agronomist, etc.)
- Communicate effectively with the procurement team and with local team to ensure proper margin opportunity captured
Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrate essential abilities including personnel management, communications, customer focus and decision making
- Basic agronomy knowledge and skills (insect, weed and disease identification, fertility)
- Financial knowledge including reading and understanding financial statements
- Ability and willingness to work long hours and on-call as business conditions warrant
- Ability to lead and delegate, understanding multiple avenues to problem solving
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Directly managed a team for at least five years
- Valid driver’s license; must be able to meet a Motor Vehicle Review in accordance with Company policy.
