Your Role: Sales Training Consultant

As part of the US Farm Sales Enablement team, the Sales Training Advisor will be responsible for guiding and delivering training resources aligned with the sales training strategy.  Building a partnership with Sales, Marketing, business excellence and technical teams, the incumbent is accountable for developing, facilitating and/or delivering training that elevates the ability of our customer facing roles to deliver value.


You Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams/stakeholders to deliver agreed upon objectives
  • Ownership of New Hire training curriculum to set for successful integration
  • Advise Sales and marketing in the selection of appropriate instructional modalities (instructor led, computer-based training, vendor supported, and self-study) to meet business needs in the most efficient and effective manner.
  • Manage training resources within the scope of the role, including development of materials, use of outside vendors, and T&E.
  • Classroom facilitation of product technical knowledge to enable adult learning competencies.
  • Execute continuing education strategy
  • Measure impact of training on delivery
  • Execute a multi-modal training
  • Utilize key stakeholders and partnerships for delivery of content
  • Ensure content delivery is consistent across multiple facilitators.
  • Maintain and manage training platform and content to maximize use
  • Deliver improved acumen of our sales organizations as measured by defined KPIs


What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications): :

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, animal sciences or related major
  • 3 + years working in animal health pharmaceutical or related corporate industry.
  • 2-5 years sales experience
  • 2-5 years of Training or Facilitation for large groups
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Elanco does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.


What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):

  • Demonstrated excellence in presentation/training skills.
  • Strong experience in coordination and implementation across multiple functions and complex environments.
  • Experience with building training curriculum and coordination with 3rd party vendors.
  • Field experience in sales with proficiency in selling skills, technical knowledge, territory management and driving essential wins.
  • Strong facilitator experience in both small (<10 people) and large (>100) people audiences.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
