We are:
ROGO, an Ag-tech company with HQ in Remington, IN. We are innovating soil fertility and carbon sampling. We use self-driving robots to eliminate human error and improve the accuracy of soil extraction to increase the quality of fertilizer application and carbon credits, while also making the sampling experience super easy for customers with digital & automation tools. - our operators and robots to run fast and easy
- our customers to interact with us seamlessly and
- our ops team to optimize logistics at scale
- Types of Work: Geospatial, Data Transformation, UI, Backend/Frontend, APIs
- Project Examples:
- Continue to build out the operator field (robot control) app for ease & efficiency
- Expand “easy-button experience” on new (2024) customer portal – geospatial, notifications, etc
- Extend traceability data pipeline – to make end-to-end accountability easier
- Api integrations w/ partners for increased data accuracy
- Build on initial HQ logistics management platform to increase efficiency
You should be able to (Skills):
- Be an excellent problem solver: logic, math, CS concepts (data & objects, etc)
- Have a knack for good user-experience and design (but don’t need to be a designer)
- Be a great team-player, trust-builder and able to communicate clearly & efficiently
- Create high quality, on-time code. efficiently building right tech. reqs. to achieve business reqs.
- Manage trade offs effectively- navigating business vs technical requirements
- Don’t get bogged down with engineering process (still small eng team of 5 or less)
- (Bonus) Tech Stack to Navigate:
- Frontend: progressive web app, JS, TS, class-based react, functional react, indexeddb
- Backend: node JS, rest apis, aws serverless, python, SQL, DynamoDB, FastAPI
- Robot control app interface (limited for this role): networking, linux, ROS, python, C++
Start Date & Location
- Start as soon as agreed
- Partially remote, ideally on-site at least weekly or bi-weekly (depending on living location)
