Ag Ingenuity Partners seeks a Research Field Specialist to provide support to our research team and sister company, Advanced Agrilytics. The role encompasses all aspects of field-research roles from trial implementation, data collection processes, in-field scouting to assisting in data management and evaluation. The Research Field Specialist role will provide an opportunity for the individual to learn and develop into other roles within the company. A Research Field Specialist should be someone who has a desire for learning, strong interest and experience in research, a self-starter, a high attention to detail and a passion for helping our research team deliver impactful insights.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with research team and precision agronomists to identify trial site locations
  • Assist in implementing field-scale research trials across the state
  • Work with agronomy team in collecting historical and current data (planting, as-applied, yield)
  • Record research observations using GIS tools
  • Collect plant and/or soil samples throughout season during key growth stages according to protocols
  • Assist research team in plant processing, data creation, and data entry activities
  • Assist Research Operations Lead in managing regional research/processing facility
  • Collaborate with research and data team on data analysis projects
  • Share thoughts and ideas for process improvements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, and 2 years’ experience in agronomy/research, or related field
  • Master’s Degree preferred in agronomy/research or related field
  • Valid driver’s license, and willing to commute to research facility/fields daily
  • On-farm experience preferred
