SCHEDULE: Full Time
TRAVEL REQUIRED: 50% – 75%
LOCATION: Covers the Farm Credit Mid-America retail offices in Lafayette, Williamsport, Kokomo, Crawfordsville and Rensselaer, Indiana.
COMPENSATION: $108,840.00 to $275,551.00 base salary plus potential for variable compensation. Base pay is determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Farm Credit Mid-America/Rural 1st may compensate outside of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected class.

The Regional Vice President of Agricultural Lending provides strategic leadership of the retail sales team in achieving portfolio growth while maintaining sound loan quality and credit administration. Leading, coaching, and developing Financial Officers to deliver an exceptional customer experience through the delivery of financial services consistent with regional, state and association goals.

- Coordinates and collaborates with leaders across the association by supporting the overall customer experience and sales delivery to drive consistency, work share, and success through participating in committees, projects and strategic initiatives.
- Provides strategic leadership for the overall customer experience/relationship, sales delivery and credit function for the assigned region.
- Achieves results through remote leadership of team members throughout their assigned region as well as influencing team members in other areas of the organization.
- Leads and coaches’ others, setting team’s direction, evaluating performance, exercising management authority in performance, compensation and other employment decisions.
- Leads the region’s business development plan, marketplace analysis and marketing plans. Understands and engages in the development of the regional territory from an advocacy and growth perspective.
- Aligns regional goals and results measured by sales numbers, credit quality, credit administration, effective servicing and financial results to the state and association goals.
- Grants authorities, sets standards, evaluates performance, corrects deficiencies, coaches and develops skills, effective and efficient review of credit analysis, regulatory compliance and procedural compliance.
- Monitors the quality of loan portfolios, establishing and granting lending authorities as well as reviewing loans.
- Conducts joint sales calls and credit administration reviews to coach and develop sales team members. Provides meaningful feedback to the Directors of Retail Operations to ensure an accurate and consistent customer experience.
- Establishes and maintains internal and external relationships while participating in Association and industry organizations to gain knowledge, share information, and enhancing the Association’s brand.
Minimum Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in business, agriculture or related field.
4-6 years professional experience in financial services, agricultural sales and/or credit experience, with at least two years in a leadership role or having demonstrated skills to lead a team of people.

Vision requirements encompass close and distance vision. The work environment typically has a moderate noise level. This role may entail a blend of mental and physical capabilities, requiring strong mental acuity, problem-solving skills, and occasional physical tasks such as standing, lifting, or extended computer usage. Some roles may require physical or mental requirements related to driving, such as a valid driver’s license, and the ability to drive a long-distance.
