The Recruiter will support Heartland Food Products Group’s rapid growth by collaborating with Hiring Managers to provide full cycle recruiting support to meet the needs of the organization in a timely manner. They will be responsible for candidate sourcing, phone screens, assessments, onsite interviews and assisting with on-boarding.

 

Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:

  • Focus on recruitment in the areas of Plant Operations, Maintenance, and Quality
  • Sourcing of passive candidates through online recruiting tools and social media as well as candidate management through the Heartland Food Products Group Careers portal
  • Schedule and conduct phone screens and onsite interviews
  • Assist with the on-boarding process and administrative functions related to HR and recruiting functions as needed
  • Management of open requisitions as assigned
  • Assist with the on-boarding process and administrative functions related to HR and recruiting functions as needed
  • Attend recruiting events when necessary
  • All other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field is required
  • A minimum of 3 years of recruiting experience
  • Multiple years of demonstrated success in developing and deploying recruiting strategies for hard to fill technical roles
  • Demonstrated experience using resume databases, internet search tools and social networking to find and attract top talent.
  • Experience working in a food production environment highly preferred
  • Knowledge of ATS systems, preferably ADP
  • Strong foundation and understanding of direct candidate sourcing, with proven ability to develop and implement effective sourcing strategies
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment, excellent collaboration and relationship building skills
  • Strong work ethic demonstrated by sense of urgency, flexibility and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written

 

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to physically perform daily functions as needed
  • Must be able to work seated using a computer and phone for long periods of time

Must be able to work extended hours as needed

  • Must possess visual acuity to document company records
  • Continuous walking throughout plant and distribution center
  • Lifting up to 40 pounds
