Job Description
Senior Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Leading direct reports, group leaders, managers and their teams, and serving clients in technical settings, such as laboratories or manufacturing facilities
- Lead recruiting and retention efforts along with site leadership
- Monthly meetings with each direct report, the Eurofins department, and client managers
- Disseminate administrative communications
- Leads special projects, organizing technical resources and staff to accomplish within given deadlines
- Demonstrate and promote the company vision by leading companywide initiatives
- Drives programs independently and build relationships with partners at all levels of the organization, and externally.
- Meet all quality and productivity metrics, and demonstrate strong teamwork and collaboration
- Lead teams, schedules, and train employees in client environment
- Organize technical resources and staff to accomplish client goals within given deadlines
- Assist Director with business operations as needed
- Stays current in science and technology and consults knowledgeably with clients
- Ensure adherence to highest quality and efficiency standards in laboratory operations
Qualifications
The ideal candidate would possess:
- Focus on solutions oriented management
- Scientific background with hands on laboratory experience
- A good understanding of day to day business operations
- Demonstrated strong client service skills, teamwork, and collaboration
- Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
- Strong leadership, initiative, and teambuilding skills and experience
Basic Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or other related field
- 10+ years of hands on related experience
- At least 5 years in a leadership role
- Business Management education or experience preferred
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
