Overview
Position Overview: The Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing the company’s payroll operations, ensuring the accurate and timely payment of employees, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and company policies. This role involves managing payroll processes in Workday, handling queries, and preparing reports.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Including but are not limited to:
- Processing of bi-weekly payroll
- Ensure 401k deferrals and loans are accurate and up-to-date
- Enter one-time payments/bonuses as needed
- Review and correct timesheet entries as needed
- Resolve payroll errors
- Handle direct deposit inquiries and issues
- Process wage garnishments
- Complete VOE’s and Interrogatories as needed
- Prepare quarter and year-end
- Perform other duties as assignedProcessing of bi-weekly payroll
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and tax compliance
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with a team
- Ability to multitask
- Good research and analysis skills
Education and Experience:
- At least two years of Workday payroll processing experience required
- Experience with managed payroll provider (preferred)
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar payroll-related certification.
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
