Corteva Agriscience has an exciting opportunity for North America Procurement Lead – CP Packaging to join our team in Indianapolis, IN (Wilmington, DE could be an option). This position is responsible for supporting Corteva operations in North America with sourcing, contract management and supplier management activities related to Crop Protection Packaging. Works with global strategic sourcing and North America supply chain organization to orchestrate sourcing events and to collaboratively select qualified suppliers. Leverages sourcing and procurement systems and tools to efficiently and effectively conduct sourcing activities.

Purpose of this role is to establish and execute the category strategy and identify opportunities for improvement in the business processes.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Overall responsibility for establishing and executing the category strategy
• Identify and execute opportunities to improve ways of working and modernize data flow and communication between suppliers, procurement and stakeholders
• Work closely with packaging engineering, supply chain and quality to solve complex business challenges
• Identify and bring forward new suppliers, technologies, packaging concepts, financial models and sourcing opportunities as solutions to relevant business challenges
• Ensure achievement of regional and global Procurement targets. Ensure rapid and focused deployment of critical change initiatives
• Overall accountability for supplier relationship and performance management i.e. execute RFPs, reverse auctions and sourcing events to drive cost efficiencies and ensure supply reliability; conduct pricing benchmark studies to ensure Corteva is paying competitive rates; deploy contracts for both new and legacy supply relationship
• Ensure company procedures and guidelines are followed and good business practices are maintained
• Maintain and share relevant industry and marketplace knowledge to ensure competitive advantage

Critical Success Factors:
• Develop and maintain Supplier Relationships (SRM) to leverage competitive advantage
• Establish category and supplier strategies; develop and negotiate supply and quality agreements for new and existing business
• Accountable for the relationship with internal clients and business partners
• Ensure company procedures and guidelines are followed plus appropriate and ethical business practices are maintained.
• Ensure Procurement perspective is represented through active participation in relevant business teams/projects (eg, launch teams, ROPs, process improvement initiatives)
• Identify and qualify suppliers, ensuring customers’ needs opposite suppliers’ capabilities to deliver are in alignment
• Develop and communicate pricing forecasts for use in business planning, highlighting significant changes or impact
• Analyze of and represent your portfolio during budgeting, rolling forecast and latest outlook exercises; Maintain supplier performance metrics: Quality levels and ratio; OTIF score; in your portfolio; Responsiveness; Compliance

• Bachelor’s degree; Supply Chain Certifications / Master’s preferred
• Minimum five years within a commercial, shared services, industrial/manufacturing, or engineering related company.
• Experience in purchasing and sourcing roles.
• Proficiency with SAP S/4HANA, and SAP Ariba.
• Work experience should include membership in dynamic, results oriented teams; work with multiple functions or businesses.
• Demonstrated written and oral communication skills accompanied with strong presentation skills
• Business acumen to solve problems, conduct market analysis
• Experience in a highly regulated industry is preferred
