About the Job:

The .NET Web Developer works in an agency information technology division under general direction performing application systems analysis and programming duties.


A Day in the Life:

The essential functions of this role are as follows:

  • Perform coding, testing, implementation, documentation, and support for web applications.
  • Work with business owners to understand key system processes and end-user needs to provide strategic solutions.
  • Perform thorough system testing to ensure high quality, usability, speed, security, and accuracy.
  • Prepare all necessary documentation as directed by the manager or director in accordance with state government standards.
  • Stay up to date with developments in standards and programming languages by utilizing training resources.
  • Work closely with project managers on making technical decisions.

What You’ll Need for Success:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field experience to substitute.
  • Three (3+) years’ experience in the areas of software development and support, primarily in Microsoft platforms.
  • Professional experience with C#, ASP.NET Core, and Entity Framework.
  • Professional experience with ASP.NET web technologies including MVC and Web API.
  • Professional experience with JavaScript. Frameworks such as jQuery, React, Angular are a plus.
  • Professional experience with relational databases. Oracle PL/SQL preferred, but not required.
  • Professional experience with Git, Nuget, CI/CD processes and Agile methodologies. Experience with Azure DevOps is a plus.
  • Knowledge in CSS3, Bootstrap, HTML5 technologies.

Requirements:

  • Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office when working remotely.
  • Must have a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions when working remotely.

Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:
This role may serve as a team lead for an assigned work group.
