Grow what’s next. Grow your future. Trait Optimization at Corteva Agriscience is seeking a 3-month intern interested in molecular biology and gene expression. You will build DNA vectors that contain fluorescent protein gene fusions for expression in plant cells. Laboratory work will be performed with highly experienced researchers who are passionate about sharing their expertise with the next generation of scientists. Skills including strategies for construct designs, Gateway cloning, DNA ligation, endonuclease DNA digestion, gel electrophoresis, and fluorescence protein detection will be gained through this internship.

Qualifications – What You’ll Bring: 

  • Current sophomore or junior standing at an accredited university
  • Must be available for entire 3-month duration of the internship
  • Agricultural background and/or completed courses in molecular biology, genetics, or plant biology, are highly beneficial
  • Minimum GPA 3.0
  • Must be enrolled at an accredited university at the time of the internship
