Become a key member of the US Pet Health Marketing Operations team and contribute to our success with your strategic thinking & planning, expert executional and project management skill, attention to detail, networking and executive communication and positive energy and attitude.

  • The Manager, Conferences & Events is a key role on the US Pet Health Marketing team and will make a remarkable impact on our customers, ensure a best-in-class experience at conferences and events, deliver industry-leading professional education and launch timely product information.
  • Be the key contact for industry associations, responsible for managing agency & vendor relationships as well as optimizing budget and resourcing. Help drive transformation of events to optimize both on-site and digital execution.
  • Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing Operations, you will have the opportunity to apply your skills to represent one of the leaders in pet health; providing extraordinary experiences, insights to brands, and facilitating the sales process through advancing customer interactions.

 Responsibilities include:

  • Planning for attendance & activities at key veterinary conferences and events.
  • Manage budget for exhibit fees as well as sponsorships, activities, digital, pre-show and on-site advertising and veterinary education.
  • Oversee exhibit booth, including design, configuration, on-site setup/tear down, materials and staffing.
  • Represent Elanco to key veterinary associations, and professional organizations, securing booth space at conferences and events, as well as opportunities to provide veterinary education, sponsored sessions & activities, negotiation of terms and conditions.
  • Coordinate attendance and duties at exhibit booth for key conferences. Intervention as needed to ensure any necessary adjustments are addressed and resolved quickly.
  • Manage, collect and submit contact information from exhibit booth and veterinary education events.
  • Develop best-in-class digital capabilities for virtual conferences, and advance Elanco’s presence in the digital marketplace.
  • Responsible for annual planning as well as strategic approach to conferences & events.
  • Adhere to Elanco financial guidelines and policies, including creation of purchase requisitions, verification of services rendered and timely submission of invoices.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of relevant conference and event planning experience.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Financial and business acumen and ability to manage multi-million dollar budget.
  • Proven, expert project management skills
  • Ability & willingness to travel 25%+ and work irregular hours as necessary
  • Develop, execute, measure & evaluate consistent brand experiences that drive results
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders while making sound, data-driven, timely decisions.
  • Ability to lead and advance multiple projects simultaneously while delivering quality results.
  • Establish and maintain relationships as a primary contact across key professional organizations nationally.

Additional Skills/ Preferred Qualifications:

  • CMP certification or related credential(s)
  • Management of people and/or work crews, including but not limited to creative agencies
  • Animal health or pharma industry experience
  • Experience with professional organizations
  • Experience negotiating while adhering to rate of return objectives
