This role is not a remote opportunity, it is on-site at our Corporate Headquarters in Elwood, Indiana.

 

What You’ll Do:

Inbound and Outbound Shipment Coordination

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound Truckload, Intermodal, and LTL shipments following the routing guide process
  • Assist carriers in scheduling appointments for pickup and delivery
  • Track & trace shipments daily to ensure timely pickups & deliveries are being made
  • Problem-solve unexpected issues during the shipping, in-transit, and delivery process
  • Provide clear and consistent communication with Customer Service, Warehousing, Sales, and other groups throughout the shipping process
  • Coordinate EDI and general load tendering to carriers via TMS system
  • Facilitate with spot load coverage and load cost negotiation

Prepare Payables

  • Maintain accurate freight purchase order payment records
  • Review freight invoices for billing discrepancies
  • Monitor billing statements

Administrative Support

  • Input data into Supply Chain computer systems
  • Prepare Microsoft Excel reporting
  • Cross-train as back up for other roles within the Supply Chain Department

 

Requirements for Success:

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma
  • 1 year experience working with the public (customer service, transportation, or warehousing)

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Computer skills, MS Office, Excel and Word
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to function in a fast pace team environment
  • Good analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently once given direction
