Overview
The Lab Sample Coordinator will be responsible for the receiving, subsampling and filing of seed samples for the Seed Quality Lab.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for receiving submitted samples and ensuring sample integrity.
- Responsible for confirming assigned tests and subsampling.
- Responsible for subsampling and delivery of lab tests.
- Identifies and communicates sample submission errors.
- Maintains cold storage seed library and processing retests.
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, work as a team member, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
- Responsible for reporting supply inventory to Seed Quality Lab Manager.
- Works closely with Seed Quality Lab Manager to keep subsampling at maximum efficiency.
- Responsible for the training and assistance of Part-Time/Seasonal help.
- Continue agricultural education through workshops and both on-site and off-site training.
- Perform other duties as required by the Seed Quality Lab Manager.
Job Requirements
1. Education and training:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in related fields and/or Seed Lab experience, preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent, required.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record as determined by Beck’s automobile insurance policy.
2. Technical knowledge:
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Possesses a positive attitude.
- Possess a high-level attention to detail, organized, and be able to consistently deliver timely and accurate results.
- Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office and spreadsheets.
3. Physical Demands:
- Be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.
4. Experience
- Experience in a seed testing lab is preferred, but not required.
