Grow what’s next. Grow your future. Corteva Agriscience, has an exciting opportunity for a 3-month Internship in the field of Plant Genome Editing. This position is in Johnston, Iowa, in the Genome Editing group and will be open from May to August of 2022.

Responsibilities – What You’ll Do:

Contribute to the improvement of CRISPR/Cas-based genome editing tools, including but not limited to (1) the discovery of new CRISPR/Cas systems; (2) engineering of Cas proteins; and (3) developing new approaches that enhance genome editing efficiency.

Work closely with a senior scientist in an industrial setting while being exposed to a broad range of cutting-edge techniques

Learn genome editing technology in a world-class Ag biotech company

Qualifications

Qualifications – What You’ll Bring:

Minimum 2 years of college education in molecular biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, bioinformatics, plant cell biology or related field

Minumum GPA of 3.5.

Highly motivated, strong organizational communication and presentation skills, strong organizational skills,

Ability to work both individually and in a team environment

Basic computer competency are required
