RESPONSIBILITIES

Formulation and Production of PD Prototypes

  • Develop new formulas and National Brand matches
  • Execute product reformulations for improvement and profit improvement
  • Coordinate new product sensory evaluations
  • Create product sales samples of new products
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendor partners

PD Administrative Support and Technical Documentation

  • Creates and issues Product Specifications and related technical documentation
  • Performs competitive product analysis and reviews
  • Execute Sensory panels and testing
  • Document and communicate key project management information

Competitive Product Monitoring

  • Review competitive products via organoleptic evaluation and analytic properties
  • Review label information as compared to Red Gold product portfolio
  • Generate appropriate reports to communicate findings

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 4 year degree in Food Science or related technical discipline
  • 3 – 5 years R&D work experience in the food and beverage industry
  • Experience working within food manufacturing facilities
  • Certification and/or experience in Food Sanitation, HACCP, Better Processing

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Experienced working within lab and with analytical equipment
  • Computer knowledge required; MS Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem solver and analytically minded
  • Must be able to work the hours required given the needs of the department
