Position at Advanced Agrilytics

 

Advanced Agrilytics seeks a Field Specialist to provide support to Precision Agronomists and our research team. The role encompasses all aspects of grower and field facing roles from in-field scouting to assisting in data management and evaluation. The Field Specialist role will provide an  opportunity for the individual to learn and develop into other roles within the company. A Field Specialist should be someone who has a desire for learning, a self-starter, a focus on detail and a passion for helping farmers manage their operation to product sustainable outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Partner with Precision Agronomist on crop scouting throughout the growing season
  • Provide crop scouting feedback and findings to the Precision Agronomist
  • Manage scouting activities weekly and follow-up on critical issues
  • Document research trials and provide data and/or findings
  • Assist in the implementation/monitoring and evaluation of the crop(s) at research locations
  • Collecting plant samples and data in a timely manner and according to research protocol(s)
  • Work with Precision Agronomist to set soil sample points on new customers
  • Collaborate with soil sample team to ensure samples are pulled in a timely manner
  • Pull soil samples in spring and/or fall
  • Work with soil sample results to ensure completeness of data in our system
  • Assist Precision Agronomist in data collection and upload
  • Assist Precision Agronomist with prescription writing and quality control to ensure accuracy

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 0-2 years’ experience in agronomy related field
  • Must be willing maintain or obtain a Certified Crop Advisor License within 1 year of employment
  • On farm experience preferred
