Indiana Farm Bureau, Indiana’s largest nonprofit farm organization, which works to be an effective advocate for farmers and agriculture through its policies and programs, promotes agriculture, and enhances the future of agriculture and our communities. We are looking for someone who can:

  • Serve as a key executive leadership team member, contributing to organizational strategy.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Indiana Farm Bureau members, government officials, policymakers, and industry leaders.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive public policy strategies aligned with organizational goals, including oversight of political action committees.
  • Lead the public policy team while fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence, while managing departmental budgeting and resources.
  • Collaborate with officers, management team, board members, and staff of Indiana Farm Bureau and American Farm Bureau Federation, as well as county volunteers, to reach the policy goals and improve regulatory outcomes for agriculture.
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships, coordinate with affiliates and industry stakeholders, and foster coalitions to advance shared policy objectives.
  • Lead the development of grassroots advocacy strategies.

Requirements for success:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
  • 5-10 years of working experience in policy and politics with a strong understanding of agriculture.
  • Proven ability to lead a team and engage in staff development.
  • Ability to foster and maintain internal and external relationships with political savvy.
  • Demonstrated capacity to prioritize and take initiative on departmental responsibilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly through verbal and written communication
  • Willingness to attend INFB and agriculture-related functions as assigned.
  • Must genuinely care about others and lead with integrity.
