Primary Objective: Providing human resource, administrative and clerical support to the company. This position serves in many roles and requires high organizational skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Receptionist Duties:

  • For administration office- greet visitors, answer phones for Administrative side of business
  • Scheduling availability and service on the administration assigned company vehicle(s)

HR Responsibilities:

  • Manage DOT Compliance – to include driver files, laws and regulations, HRIS maintenance, monthly internal reporting and external insurance reporting.
  • Administrator DOT Random Quarterly Draw Program
  • Reconciliation of monthly HireRight billing (utilizing HR team members for questions)
  • Osha Reporting (aid in year-end reporting and work comp filings as needed)
  • Administrator LMS Platform with maintenance, and reporting responsibility including ability to train others on use of product
  • Support HR communications marketing initiatives
  • Assist Director of Safety & Compliance with administrative duties in relation to safety programs
  • Administer required documentation for Contractor Safety Program Agreements
  • Backup for Workers Compensation support to other HR Generalists
  • HR Recruitment ad placement and billing tracking and reconciliation

Operations Responsibilities: – Working with VP of Operations/Regional Managers

  • Process vehicle licensing needs
  • IDALS & Wisconsin licensing requirements
  • Processing commercial applicator licensing applications and renewals; entry in HRIS system for tracking and reporting purposes
  • Maintain files for contract applicator & transportation agreements; manage certificates of liability for both
  • Assist with gathering data for insurance requests
  • Manage certification of liability files for IAS vendors
  • SOILMAP administrative support
  • Working in conjunction with accounting and HR, provide administrative assistance in collecting & organizing data and follow up with locations on a variety of areas

  • Mill, FSMA, and SOP reports
    • Monthly volume reports
    • FSMA documentation
    • Housekeeping/maintenance
    • Consolidating lab analysis info
  • Monthly Feed Mill Analysis
  • Sales team reports
    • Monthly sales reports
    • Monthly scorecards
    • Key 30 updates
  • Mail list and mailer assistance
    • Demographics in Control
    • Coordinate mailers with sales team
  • Promotion and Promotion support documentation
    • Purina Business Builder
    • New Frontiers requests
    • IAS promotion tracking
  • Supplier reports and requests
    • Elanco, Zoetis
    • Nutrablend

Other Duties as Needed:

Assist “as needed” the following:

  • Assist with corporate administrative duties including projects from CEO, other department managers, and board of directors if necessary
  • Customer/member mailings including board related communication
  • Scheduling lunches as requested by management staff; keep conference room stocked for meetings
  • Scheduling meetings in other venues as requested by management staff
  • Take meeting minutes for monthly financial meetings as needed
  • Writing business related items as needed for internal and external use
  • General HR Team support as needed

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Undergraduate degree in human resources, or business management, and/or equivalent of education an experience. Minimum 4 years’ experience.
  • Self-Directed, with limited supervision, displays a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments efficiently.
  • Ability to communicate information or ideas effectively in written or oral form, as well as by phone and online
  • Ability to organize, deals with change effectively, and work on multiple tasks concurrently
  • Strong level of detail with high level of accuracy
  • Microsoft Office Suite programs, including Word, Advanced Excel, Power Point. Publisher, ADP Workforce Now experience a plus.

Physical Requirements/Environmental Adaptability:

Requires static strength to lift, push, pull, or, on occasion, carry objects with a minimum weight of 50 pounds. Also, flexibility to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs. Some tasks involve repetitive motion. Agricultural Environment – Possible exposure to seasonal weather, outdoor conditions, and agriculture products.
