Position Summary:

 

ERP Platform Architect is an important position in the ERP team where you will have the opportunity to partner with key stakeholders, information technology leadership and other advisors for driving, influencing, and ensuring optimal operations of the infrastructure of S/4 HANA, SAP on-premise solutions as well as cloud solutions.

 

Responsibilities:

The primary purpose of this job is to drive the SAP infrastructure roadmap (on-prem and cloud) and engage with internal and external advisors to deliver SAP solutions.

  • Responsible for overall release management in SAP related to maintaining back-end operating system, database, add-ons, and SAP cloud applications.
  • Work with business stakeholders, architects, implementation partners and AMS providers to enable business outcomes and ensure optimal functionality of SAP.
  • Provide technical guidance and effort estimates on new solutions to optimize business expansion, ensure they are well documented and simple to understand.
  • Partner closely with internal infrastructure teams and suppliers on architecture design and drive adoption of newer patterns.
  • Lead and conduct technical infrastructure design reviews with vendors and SAP for optimal architecture.
  • Engage with functional architects/delivery leads to understand business requirements and ensure right SAP infrastructure services and capabilities are available.
  • Manage the relationship with third-party hosting and AMS vendors including hardware support.
  • Review SAP EarlyWatch reports and improve solution performance and stability.
  • Ensure adherence to global SAP design and architecture and participate in architecture review boards as needed.
  • Responsible for ensuring all changes and infrastructure operations meet required quality and compliance requirements (GxP, SOX)

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Informatics or Engineering
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in building out SAP infrastructure as it relates to Global ERP implementations.
  • Strong knowledge of current SAP design methodologies and infrastructure technologies including SAP Fiori, Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Enterprise Portal, SAP Cloud Platform Portal.
  • Strong understanding of SAP HANA and experience in maintaining and performance tuning of SAP HANA systems.
  • Good understanding of Web Application Firewall (WAF), Identity and access management, Certificate management, High availability, and load balancing technologies.
  • Knowledge in integration technologies using SAP PO, SAP CPI, and experience in working with Solution manager and ServiceNow for release management.
  • Experience in maintaining cloud infrastructure of SAP solutions like Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Commerce Cloud (Hybris), Ariba, Business Technology Platform (BTP), Concur, SAP Work Manager, Logistics Business Network, etc.
  • Experience in development/configuration/solution evaluation/validation and deployment.
  • Good understanding of GxP and SOX compliance requirements in the Life sciences/Pharmaceutical domain.
  • Good analytical and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively both verbally and with written communications.
  • Ability to listen, hear, and translate complex business requirements in simple easy to understand language.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects and competing requirements with good time management skills.

Additional Skills/Preferences

  • Knowledge in managing SAP workloads on Hyperscaler.
  • Experience in working with Redwood RunMyJobs, EPI-USE tools.
  • Experience in building out Test Automation with tools like Micro Focus UFT, Tricentis Tosca.
  • Experience in setting up data archive environments for SAP.
