Position Summary:

An Engineer Trainee uses technology to improve, accelerate and automate the manufacturing process. Furthermore, is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring this technology.


Main Accountabilities:

  • Explore and implement new ways of automating industrial processes.
  • Design and test automation equipment and processes.
  • Program new automated components.
  • Eliminate defects and errors through the development of products and software.
  • Collaborate with other business areas.
  • Support the activities of the PI (Plant Information) area in the unit.
  • Supervise the activities of third parties.
  • Support the team in IT/OT alignments, together with other areas of the company, regarding definitions related to infrastructure and network architecture, aiming at the segregation of OT and IT networks.
  • Integrate and communicate data between the most diverse network layers, following applicable cybersecurity protocols.
  • Support in maintenance activities related to Automation.
  • Support in the creation and review of standardized documents for projects.
  • Interact with process historians, to make data available to the various services.
  • Interact with different communication protocols (Profibus, Modbus, Profinet, etc.);
  • Support and monitor projects involving ICS and Industry 4.0.
  • Carry out field research for adaptation proposals.
  • Work on driver, soft starter, relay, and electrical component configurations.
  • Work on instrumentation process configurations.
  • Work together with industrial and IT teams to provide secure and scalable solutions.
  • Support the Plant Information Team and other OT subareas.

Knowledge and Technical Competencies:

  • Background: Engineering
  • Knowledge Tools: Microsoft Office package, BI tools (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience with Project Management.
  • Experience with Robotics, AI, and Machine Learning.
  • Soft skills: curious, resilient, organized, and urgent census.
  • Analytical profile and interest in proposing new solutions.
  • Availability for occasional travels.
