Job Summary

As a Digital Content Specialist for the office of the Executive Vice President for Research and Partnerships, you will create and manage digital content on a variety of digital platforms for research marketing and communication, contributing to the growth and enhancement of the University’s research reputation.
In this role you will:

  • Review and maintains web pages, social channels, email newsletters, and promotional support for all research communication and marketing efforts in alignment with the University’s master brand.
  • Serve as a resource for standards, best practices, and guidelines around brand, visual identity, information architecture, content, and accessibility
  • Assist with strategies for keeping content fresh and dynamic
  • Assures consistency with standards by editing, standardizing, or making changes to material prepared by other writers or other personnel
  • Manages web content operations for websites owned and managed by the office of the Executive Vice President for Research and Partnerships by adding and maintaining web content to a content management system

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electronic media, communications, marketing, journalism, or related field
  • Two years of experience in digital content management, writing for the web, and internet research
  • Experience building and/or maintaining websites in a content management system
  • Experience in content creation in accordance with federal web accessibility guidelines
  • Experience with web migration projects
  • Professional competency with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics 360 or similar web analytics software
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web publishing
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications, and organizational skills

Preferred:

  • SEO experience a plus
