Overview

Position Overview:   This position will work closely with the CN Business Director and CN Supply and Position Coordinator within the crop nutrient division. This includes contract management, release number management, direct correspondence with the field to ensure that they are in accordance with, contract details and allocations.  Providing a high level of support for the field team, in regard to crop nutrients, to help them do their jobs effectively and efficiently.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Include but not limited to:

  • Supports Keystone Cooperative’s stated Mission, Vision, and Business Values
  • Support Keystone Cooperative’s procurement team’s mission
  • Review & maintain fertilizer purchase contracts, verifying purchases against purchase log, help maintain purchase log
  • Create PO’s for vendor purchases in the appropriate system(s)
  • Develop and maintain load number spreadsheets with CN Supply and Position Coordinator
  • Send contract information & release numbers for product pick up to agronomy locations
  • Send BOL & rail tracing information to agronomy locations
  • Support agronomy locations with booking clean up and troubleshooting problems; encourage clean up monthly
  • Keep CN team & ag centers informed of contract status & expiration dates; verify all contracts are fulfilled timely
  • Coordinate & communicate logistic information on delivered in purchases (rail, truck, & barge)
  • Input retail price sheet updates into the appropriate system(s)
  • Work with ag centers to trouble shoot various issues (including but not limited to:  BOL requests, non-working release numbers, rail car & truck demurrage fees)
  • Communicate with ag centers in a timely manner
  • Work with the Accounts Payable team to provide guidance on troubleshooting CN vendor invoicing
  • Liaison with the State Chemist
  • Run reports for CN team and help with various projects when requested
  • Work in the Indianapolis Corporate Office 3-5 days a week

  • Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work through changing priorities
  • Self-motivated to manage deadlines
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn company specific software
  • Demonstrate practical skills with sound understanding of site management, staff management and field operations
  • Required overtime as the season demands.

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree, in agriculture or related field; or a combination of education and/or experience
