Overview
Position Overview: This role will assist in managing the day-today operations of the facility according to divisional objectives, to provide patrons with prompt, courteous and effective service while maintaining the efficiency necessary to achieve a maximum margin of profit.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist in managing the workforce through responsible training and clear job assignment and explanation
- Build relationships with the customer base and key suppliers
- Assist in establishing and implementing short-term goals that are consistent with long range plans for growth in operation, including facility, equipment, and personnel
- Communicate with manager and utilize additional resources (other branch managers, credit, marketing, human resources, etc.) to maximize profitability
- Maintain a safe working environment
- Ensure that department facilities and equipment meet all federal, state, and OSHA regulations
- Help maintain inventories to ensure service with minimum delivery delays, while maintaining inventory turn goals
- Assist with handling tasks for assigned accounts
Qualifications:
- Must understand basic business principles of inventory management and personnel supervision
- Demonstrated strong leadership and organizational skills
- Possess a class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement and category 1A applicators license, or ability to obtain
- Excellent customer relations and service skills
- Experience leading safety and business improvement strategies
- Detail oriented with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be a team player and enjoy the effort necessary to contribute to a successful operation and company
- Ability and desire to solve problems in the fields of our customers
- Possess a relative knowledge of crop diagnostics, crop protection, seed and fertility
- Farming experience helpful
- 3-5 years progressive agronomy related experience
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
