Your Role: Business Advisor, CRM and Salesforce Excellence

As the Business Advisor, CRM and Sales Force Excellence, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the CRM system, ensuring alignment with Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) KPIs and business goals. In this role, you’ll be responsible for driving the strategic direction of the CRM system, managing data standards, providing critical insights to optimize the commercial business, and offering solutions for system alignment across CRM functions. You will collaborate closely with global and local teams to improve system functionalities, integration, marketing, analytics, and overall adoption.

 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead the CRM ‘power user’ community and collaborate with Commercial Operations to ensure consistent reporting, analysis, and system alignment with SFE KPIs, while driving solutions for system needs and integrations across US Pet Health.
  • Represent US Pet Health in the Global Community, collaborating with Marketing, Analytics, and IT to enhance CRM and SFE functionalities, and provide guidance on system governance and alignment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase CRM adoption and effectiveness, including communication plans, user training roadmaps, and troubleshooting support for CRM business needs.
  • Oversee SFE report accuracy, data preparation, and customer targeting to optimize sales execution and field performance, while leveraging CRM insights for sales force automation.
  • Collaborate with global CRM/SFE/IT teams to drive decisions on new functionalities, system governance, and CRM roadmap planning to meet US Pet Health business goals.
  • Manage US Pet Health’s data standards, system governance, and lead improvements in field force automation.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of proven experience working with integrated CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce.com and/or Veeva CRM). 5+ years of SFO data preparation or SFE system support in Pharmaceutical or Animal Health industries. 5+ years of experience supporting commercial sales or marketing functions.
  • Top 2 skills: Expertise in CRM and Data Reporting Systems: Respected system expert with in-depth CRM knowledge and competency in data reporting systems (e.g., Tableau), with proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Analytical and Collaborative Leadership: Analytical, systematic thinker with the ability to simplify complex issues, drive business needs across matrix organizations without direct authority, and manage multiple projects simultaneously while collaborating effectively with diverse groups across various levels.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (preferred qualifications):

  • Experience with CRM system integration, troubleshooting, and user training development.
  • Familiarity with global CRM governance, roadmap planning, and cross-functional collaboration with IT, SFE, and commercial teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for cross-functional collaboration, including Marketing and Analytics.
  • Proficiency in data analysis for cycle plans, field targets, and customer segmentation.
  • Prior experience in supporting or managing commercial operations or sales teams.

  • Travel: Up to 15% annually.
  • Location: Global Elanco Headquarters – Greenfield, IN – Hybrid Work Environment.
