Overview

SUMMARY:

The Summer Intern position is an internship with the potential to lead to a full-time Associate Brand Manager (ABM) role.  The ABM is a key contributor to the overall brand team, responsible for leading cross functional teams in the planning, execution and analysis of various business initiatives. The ABM role is a general management role with P&L responsibility and includes the development of strategic business and marketing plans to achieve corporate and brand volume, profit and share objectives.  As a summer intern, you will have the opportunity to experience the ABM role at Tyson by leading and participating in numerous initiatives for your brand team, as well as participating in events that highlight Tyson’s unique collegial culture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Lead project(s) including market/competitive data analyses to provide a recommendation on potential market opportunities

  • Lead project(s) with innovation teams to test concepts and initiate new product development process(es)

  • Participate in consumer research to uncover pivotal consumer insights to drive marketing plans and support strategic recommendations

  • Collaborate with agency partners to develop marketing activation plans

  • Execute product/packaging design improvements

  • Lead monthly consumption analyses for assigned business(es)

  • Participate in day-to-day team meetings

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 1st year of MBA program completed upon beginning internship; concentration in Brand Management or Marketing is preferred

  • Minimum of 2 years of full-time work experience, preferably in marketing or a related function

  • Candidate must be forward thinking and have the passion to innovate with strong leadership and problem-solving skills

  • Candidate must have exceptional oral and written communication skills

  • Candidate must have a permanent work authorization in the U.S
