Overview
Assist Seed Enhancements team to effectively explore and evaluate seed treatment products, manage chemical inventories and help promote Beck’s seed treatments to sales force, as well as, Beck’s customers.

Responsibilities
- Work with suppliers to learn about seed treatment products to maximize application and performance within Beck’s processing plants and contract conditioners.
- Collaborate with Beck’s processing plants on best practices for handling treatment chemicals and treating seeds.
- Monitor and explore new technologies, testing, regulatory environments, efficacies, and applications of seed treatments alongside Seed Enhancements Lead.
- Prepare and execute seed treatment trials.
- Evaluate field trials through in-season visual checks and pest monitoring.
- Coordinate and execute future in-house testing for seed treatment evaluations such as abrasion, flowability, and plantability.
- Management of inventory and organization of seed treatment chemicals at the Atlanta, IN location.
- Steward movements of empty chemical containers to recycling facilities for Beck’s processing facilities and contract locations.
- Oversee sale of untreated seed to universities, contractors and chemical vendors for research purposes.
- Participate in training exercises for sales teams with Seed Enhancements Lead to improve overall knowledge and selling abilities for Beck’s current seed treatment packages.
Job Requirements
Education and training:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomy or other Agriculture field preferred.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record as determined by Beck’s automobile insurance policy.
- This is a safety-sensitive position.
Technical knowledge:
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Good attitude towards work.
- Good working knowledge of computers.
Travel and hours of work:
- Overnight travel may be required based on project needs at Beck’s regional locations and may vary in duration of time.

Experience:
- One (1) to three (3) years in the seed industry.
Physical Demands:
- May be required to lift up to 70 pounds unassisted.
- Ability to pass respiratory medical clearance evaluation may be required.
- Ability to walk seed treatment trials for an extended period of time.
