POSITION SUMMARY
As a Computer Support Specialist at AgReliant Genetics, you will provide technical support to internal teams, helping to resolve hardware and software issues efficiently. You will play a critical role in daily support operations, troubleshooting across multiple platforms, and delivering a positive support experience in line with company standards. This position is key to maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide front-line technical support for hardware, operating systems (Windows OS, macOS, iOS devices), and company applications such as Office, Chrome, and VPN.
- Diagnose, resolve, and document technical issues across various support channels, ensuring accurate and efficient outcomes, and driving end-user satisfaction.
- Ensure all support interactions are thoroughly documented in the help desk system in alignment with company standards and resolved in a timely manner.
- Configure and support AgReliant’s Intune environment, ensuring secure and efficient management of mobile devices and applications.
- Provide comprehensive audio-visual support for all meetings, including evaluating AV equipment to ensure optimal performance and implementing user-friendly systems to enhance the meeting experience.
- Provide exemplary customer service and communicate technical information in an easy-to-understand manner for all user levels, embodying the company’s core values in all interactions.
- Purchase laptops, iPhones, iPads, and other hardware.
- Assess and recommend software and hardware options to optimize system performance.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend ways to enhance support processes and increase productivity.
- Contribute to team projects as assigned and stay current on relevant technological developments.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in a computer support role.
- Proven experience in supporting Windows operating systems and Apple iOS required.
- Intune configuration, maintenance, and support experience.
- PowerShell scripting.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Strong understanding of computer hardware and software, including operating systems, network protocols, and common applications.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose complex technical issues.
- Effective communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
- Adaptability to changing circumstances and a proactive approach to process improvement.
- High level of customer service orientation, with the ability to balance organizational needs with those of internal clients.
- Capacity to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Up to 10% travel time is expected.
- Ability to work required hours.
- Ability to lift 15 lbs.
