The Ag Sales Recruitment Specialist will oversee our full-cycle recruiting with a primary focus on all Field Sales and Field Sales Agronomist roles.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders to identify, develop and implement staffing strategies, policies and programs
  • Coordinate with Sales Development Leads and hiring managers to provide a positive brand experience to candidates throughout the recruitment and hiring process
  • Collaboratively consult with hiring managers to recommend strategies for identifying and recruiting potential candidates
  • Work directly with the Regional Business Managers to identify and attract the profiles(s) of successful Beck sales employees
  • Time management skills with the ability to manage and coordinate multiple recruitment activities simultaneously
  • Design interview questions that reflect the requirements for each position
  • Determine interview and selection criteria
  • Plan interview and selection procedures, including screening calls, assessments and in-person interview
  • Proactively create applicant pools and talent pipelines by posting job ads through job boards, social media, state employment agencies, professional associations, and our website
  • Source potential candidate through online channels
  • Assess candidate information, including resumes and contact details, using our Applicant Tracking System
  • Network with industry, university, media, dealers and employees to source the top talent
  • Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events
  • Forecast quarterly and annual hiring needs by department
  • Foster long-term relationships with past applicants and potential candidates
  • Evaluate applications, review resumes, conduct reference checks and complete initial phone interviews to establish a narrow candidate pool
  • Make recommendations to hiring managers on the top candidates for in-person interviews
  • Compile reports from the ADP database as needed
  • Support the recruitment and applicant flow process through appropriate, timely communication with candidates
  • Assist with the new hire process through the creation, maintenance, distribution, and organization of onboarding schedules
  • Facilitate the exit interview process; analyze data and make recommendations to the Human Resources Manager
  • Assist with the processing of terminations
  • Obtain and review new hire paperwork including Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification documentation, to verify the identity and employment authorization of new hires with E-Verify
  • Provide verification of current or former employment when needed
  • Participates in developing human resources department goals, objectives and systems
  • Perform other duties as may be required by the Human Resources Manager
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential

 

Job Requirements

1.    Education and training:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Agricultural related field.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record as determined by Beck’s automobile insurance policy.

2.    Technical knowledge:

  • Basic computer and current software skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, work as a team member, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
  • Basic agronomic skills and understanding preferred.
  • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems.

3.    Experience:

  • Three (3) years experience in agricultural sales, recruitment, or related industry required.
  • Direct recruitment experience in agricultural sales required.
